WHY HETKI?

Rooted in Finnish Tradition
Hetki saunas are born from the rich heritage of Finnish sauna culture and handcrafted with care in Canada. We use thick, sustainably harvested spruce from northern Finland—slow-grown for strength, beauty, and long-term durability.

Built the Traditional Way

Every sauna is constructed using time-honoured joinery techniques and interlocking log walls, just like the original saunas in Finland. These breathable, naturally insulating structures are made to handle heat, humidity, and heavy use for decades.

Turnkey, Hassle-Free Experience

We’ve made ownership easy. Your Hetki sauna arrives fully assembled and ready to use—just set it on a level, load bearing surface and connect the power or install your wood-burning stove. No kits. No guesswork. Just pure sauna enjoyment.

Designed to Endure

Crafted by skilled hands with precision and care, Hetki saunas are made to last for generations. The combination of dense northern timber, traditional log construction, and thoughtful design ensures every sauna stands the test of time—both in structure and in spirit. Whether nestled in a backyard or enhancing a wellness space, Hetki saunas offer a timeless place to unplug, reconnect, and savour the moment.

FAQ’s

Will the sauna arrive to my site completely ready-to-use?

Yes. The Hetki sauna is transported to your plot completely ready on a truck, from where it is lifted by a crane to your desired location. You just have to reserve a suitable flat and load-bearing place for the sauna, arrange to connect the sauna to the electricity network and finally put the sauna stones in the heater. In the case of a wood burning stove, the flue and pipe must be reassembled by a professional.

A sauna with a wood-burning stove comes to your yard completely ready, except that the stove’s flue and pipe have been dismantled during transport. The stove with its flue and pipe are installed in place at the factory, but they have been disassembled during transport so that their joints are not damaged during transport and possibly cause a fire hazard later. Our dealer will help you find a professional to reassemble them back together. This is a much easier procedure than installing a new one, because all the roof penetrations are already made. The exact location of the stove is marked on the floor and the fire protections are already installed. After the flue and pipe are installed, you just add the stones to the stove and the wood to the hearth of the stove. The stove is preheated at the factory, so you can start enjoying your new wood burning stove right away.

We have chosen several excellent Finnish electric heaters and wood burning stoves as alternatives. Our reseller can also suggest other great options that may suit you.

The dimensions of the building, the window and the door cannot be changed, but you are free to choose the colour, bench model and accessories for your sauna, and the number of options is large.

The Hetki sauna’s heating time is about 45-60 minutes, depending on the temperature you want, the heater model you choose and the outside temperature.

STURDY 88 MM LAMINATED TIMBER
The frame of a Hetki sauna is made of long-lasting, sturdy laminated timber. In laminated timber, two logs are joined together horizontally. The heartwood is left on the surface of the log so that the hardest part of the wood is exposed to the elements. Due to the sturdiness, thermal insulation and breathability of the logs, there is no need to add insulation to the walls.
STRONG NORTHERN TIMBER
Finland is the most heavily forested country in Europe: forests cover 73% of Finland’s land area. Hetki saunas are made of Finnish spruce, which is the ancient building material for saunas. We source all the timber from certified forests so we can ensure that the timber resources are regenerated. We never purchase timber from conservation areas.
STYLISH DOVETAIL JOINTS
The dovetail joints are a beautiful finishing touch on Hetki saunas. It is a traditional construction technique in which two logs are joined in a way that is both robust and pleasing to the eye. The square corners of a sauna with dovetail joints also look perfect in urban environments.
Optimal Ventilation
Nice, oxygen-rich air is one of the most important factors in a good sauna experience. The indoor air in a Hetki sauna is just that. The sauna’s interior is made of wood, which, combined with efficient ventilation, provides fresh, gentle and healthy indoor air, so you’ll want to enjoy the sauna for longer.
